DStv E48-32 error.
How to fix it.
E48-32 means your decoder isn’t receiving a signal from the satellite dish. Most of the time the cause is a cable, connector, LNB or dish alignment problem.
Try these checks first.
1. Restart the decoder
Switch the decoder off at the wall, wait about 30 seconds and switch it on again. This clears a temporary lock-up that can show E48-32.
2. Check the cable connections
Make sure the coaxial cable from the dish is screwed firmly into the LNB IN / Satellite IN port on the back of the decoder. Look for loose, corroded or bent connector pins.
3. Inspect the cable run
Follow the cable from the decoder to the dish. Kinks, crushed sections, rodent damage or water inside the cable can all cut the signal.
4. Look at the weather
Heavy rain or thick cloud can temporarily block the satellite signal. If the error clears once the weather does, your setup is probably fine.
5. Check the dish and LNB
Strong wind can knock a dish out of alignment. Check that the dish hasn’t moved, nothing (like a new tree branch) blocks its view, and the LNB arm is not damaged.
6. Check multi-room or switch setups
If you use a multiswitch or splitter, a faulty port or power supply can cause E48-32 on one or more decoders.

If the error stays after these checks, the dish may need realigning, or the LNB, cabling or connectors may need replacing. Avoid climbing onto the roof yourself — Digitech DSTV can test the signal and fix the fault for you anywhere in Cape Town.
